So i guess, doing a new install could be done by first installing the 6.0 u2 hpe version and then installing the vmware 6.5 version over it (upgrade von cd etc). a few seconds ago (after having written the above, before it was not there) hpe 6.5 custom iso has appeared on vmware download page.. The original file can be downloaded in iso format. friends who only want to upgrade their vmware esxi to the update1 version can download and install the offline bundle file. to ensure the correctness of the files, sha1, md5 and crc32 are provided to you. hpe custom image for vmware esxi 6.5 install cd. sha1.
