The bbm shows up in the message folder, i get the icon at the top of the screen, it plays the alert, the led blinks and the bbm folder gets the new item icon -- but the message folder no longer gets the icon (when in the past, it has). You can sort a list of notifications to see notifications associated with a particular app only. swipe down from the top of the screen with one finger. tap an app icon, such as bbm , blackberry help , or phone.. Bbm doesn't work for me either. although with facebook messenger and whatsapp, i experience no notification problems whatsoever. for facebook messenger - make sure your messenger notifications are turned on in the app settings and background tasks for that particular app are enabled..
Ensure the bbm icon is not transparent (this which would indicate that the application is hidden from the home screen). if the icon is transparent, highlight the bbm icon, click the menu key, and select unhide icon..
